Caption : Container truck parked on Kochi Alapuzha national highway. Restrictions imposed by Supreme Court on container overloading is likely to result in increase in road transportation as well as shipping freight cost by 25 to 30 for exporters. As per the court order, maximum limit for a transporter will be 2x20 ft loaded containers, each above 18 tonnes. The shippers will also ensure that all containers do not exceed the gross weight.
