More than one thousand riots victims are presently living in different relief camps in Karbi Anglong district of which more that 400 are school going children, who are getting the poorest kind of education since last two years. Karbi Anglong is the biggest district of Assam state comprising about 10,343 sq kms area and also the worst insurgency affected district of Assam. More than sixteen insurgents group are presently active in Karbi Anglong.
