Caption : In one of the sequence pictures Kingsley Kennerley, the British professional billiard player, who is on an India tour demonstrates a few techniques. This is a most important pose, showing the side face-view of the striker addressing the ball on the table. The cue arm is slightly thrust forward from the elbow. Note the firm grip of the cue made possible by grasping the cue with all the fingers. Make a note of the left foot which is pointed towards the table and the right foot slightly turned away from the table. Feet are well apart making a firm stand. The reason why the right foot is well away from the side table is that it enables the player to stoop
down enough to bring the chin close to the cue. (Published in Sport and Pastime on January 03, 1948).
