A Khasi woman sales seasonal fruits and locally made pickles in a road side shop in Guwahati-Shillong road in MEGHALAYA on Monday, 16 July 2012. Local people put small shops along the highway to sale their products. MEGHALAYA is the highest rain fall state in the world and during this monsoon season lot of tourist from around the country come to visit this beautiful state. Agriculture is the main occupation of the Khasi people living in MEGHALAYA and more than 80 per cent of the population depends on agriculture.
