Caption : HYDERABAD, 03/07/2008: Rising inflation and soaring fuel prices hit everyone hard, do not seem to have curbed the sale and usage of motor-vehicles in the twin cities of Hyderabad roads. It is estimated that about 600 vehicles are being added to the city's roads everyday taking the total to 20 lakh vehicles. This being the case, it is likely that the flyovers that are now being constructed will not solve the problem of traffic jams. Even the number of traffic policemen who are less than 2000, is grossly inadequate to enforce the rules of the road. Traffic rule Violation Free Day being observed regularly, has not seen any decrease in the number of violations by road users.
